There are a lot of special people, Some of them make you laugh when you're down, Some others make you shake your head in amusement, You have the ones you're willing to field sleepless nights for, You even have a few who have you giggling, like a silly nine year old being given the talk on the birds and the bees, But then you have that special someone, That one who only has to smile to set the tinders of your heart ablaze, The one whose very presence makes you sing resounding hallelujahs, The one who doesn't need Facebook to know when your birthday is, They know all the little details about you, They see through that smile that's really a frown, They know when your laughter is tinged with notes of sadness, Even distance can't dull the bond that ever grows between you both, You don't need to hear their laugh to feel the shivers crawling up your spine, Or their touch to have the answering ripples in your stomach, Words are but a formality when you both me

I don't like being vulnerable. Jeo neun keu gae an jo a hae yo. Then again, nobody really does. It leaves you open, like a festering wound. Anyone can stick a needle in, bursting it open to release the yellowed pus that is your pentup emotions. It gives someone the power to hurt you, and that's dangerous.They could go power crazy, become power hungry. Power to the people! Stupid democracy. Off with their heads! Crazy queen. Power is an open wire waiting to shock someone into an electrifying death. They must have power for you to be vulnerable. You know that, and yet you stupidly give them that power. What a merry picture we must make, a bunch of vulnerable and rabid individuals. Ready to hurt in order to defend. For the powerful ones are vulnerable too. How best to hide weakness but by a show of strength. Brutal strength is the easiest to assert and show. In the process they hurt all, even themselves. For they push away those who care enough about them to give them that power.
